Hello everyone,

My name is Jaler Du'Pre. I'm currently enrolled in Drawing I, and I was curious about the class. What should I expect?
Class starts in January, so I'm trying to get ahead of the game.

If anyone could help me, please do. I can get some work together and try to beat the teach.

:D

Unless your Drawing I class is vastly different (better) from mine, you can expect tedious still-lives, and not learning a damned thing. And if you can already draw, expect an easy A.

Man, that sounds like a dream compared to the stuff i'm doing in highschool art. I'd love to be doing that, compared to working with old, hard, used blocks of clay. It sucks big time.

High School art programs are for teachers that couldn't get a job/make it doing real art and have to babys-sit C students looking for an easy "A" to keep their GPA above 2.5.

Of course, I enrolled in every one, because I like to produce art.

But: Don't expect much. Expect incompetence. If you can draw, expect the entire fucking class to hover over your shoulder going "can you draw me something."

Just punch them. And stuff.

One of my College (Year 11) teachers was a great artist. She was very much into digital art and helped me get into 3D Animation (said that a Student copy of 3DS Max was for her class use :D)

See. There are are some talented Art teachers out there.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
