old medical material

Hi fellow artist,

I was wondering if some of you would share some reference material about
doctors, scientists, apothecary of the ancient time, around 18 - 19th century,
those strange tools and more specifically, machines.
I need to illustrate a scene with scientists and i wanted to give it an old looking style

hey thanks guys for support,
i'm eventually more interested in paintings about medical scenes,
i need full atmosphere, costumes,places,
yeah, the place is important, "machines", seats, lights......

i think film list would be very usefull, i guess movies about frankesntein might contain ot of reference.....

It's not quite the same time period, but the film 'Dead Ringers' has some very unusual medical tools and settings. Might be worth a look.
