Hey all. Here's the first product of my thunderdome offensive against my opponent, davi. The contest is a 5 on 5 post-apocalyptic mutant death match. This is the first of my 5, the Ravager.
Let me know what you think. If you want to see our challenge thread, it's linked in my signature, but if you wish to post a reply (which I'd appreciate very much, btw) please do so in this thread. Thanks.

The basic design, coloring, and line art are all top notch!! I love those componants.
However the image is flat, lacks dynamics. Has no emotion or flair to it. Try different angles to add pazzas (sp)!!

awsome, i like your stuff. nice an' wierd. the rider looks kinda like he's floating. i think that the darkness of the shadow on the legs and arse should be under him on the mount.

Thanks.
I intended this to be fairly static. The object of this challenge was 90% design centered and like most of my work on my website, I like to focus on the subject itself in nuetral state.
I agree about the shadows. Shadows are really tricky because you have to imagine a light source hitting your subject from an angle you haven't rendered it by so the sillahouette that's projected onto a surface is always just guess work. My light source probably appears unclear as the angles of my highlights are inconsistant.
Thanks again for the feedback.
