Hey all :)
Ok well I hated myself enough to start this, I gotta learn to draw!
I need at least one positive aspect in my life.
Please don't take this the wrong way.
I do not wish to learn as a superficial means of self gratification or as an ego boost,
I wish to draw because it is all I have left and I want this remenant to give me a meaning to live!
Ok so I'm gonna be updating daily or as much as physically possible :)
I'm also going back to basics, so it is anatomy and pencils all the way!
Please crituqe on anything and everything, really hoping to push myself.
Also if you leave a message it also means I can have a looky at your sketchbook :)
With all this said I guess it is time to get back to drawing. :yayca:

[5 years on and I still can't line with the wacom. Pen & paper rep.]
But the fact that you've got something in your mind dying to come out is a good thing. :)
Ya just have to put the hard work in.
And oh yea, the basics. I'm finding Values to be a punk ass. But I'll body slam this biatch
sooner or later.
Persective is a main one also. Don't forget about that one.
Keep up the studies mate, and keep those experiments/visions flowing, like words to a diary.

Hey Bagg m8 ,I'm so happy for your new start, indeed,a fresh one will help you improve and will get you a new perspective on how to do it .A great start ,I might stay,I really like you've really thought about going back to the basics, and drawing more in pencil ,and that's what I recommend you to do,study a lot from life ,draw everything ,and don't be afraid to always try new approaches, why not some charcoal, and some watercolor (I myself should do that more) ,oh and btw ,the digies are very good,I really like that orbital station ,nice texture on it. I really hope to see more from you soon and I hardly and sincerely cheer for your future improvement and evolution! Thank you a lot for your support man and for advice ,I will try to return the kindness x3 when I spot something, but for now,you are on the right track! Keep drawing and keep thriving for more! Cheers :D

dwardo: Thanks I will keep up the hard work and I share your veiw on values being a pain to grasp but with work I reckon we'll both get it soon.
Rostas: Thank you for your encouragement, its always good to hear it :)
It's true I really need to get out of this rut I'm in so I guess I'm gonna go get me some watercolors :)
promise to pop by your sketchbook and hoping you get your tablet soon so you can put me to shame :D
Ok so just updating and yes I am late, I regret starting this while I'm up to my neck in it but hey at least I started at some point :)

Hey dude ,glad to see you post so soon ,I'm gonna give you some advice...firstly I really like your line ,it's solid and your shading too ,I can notice that because mine sucks for the moment xD and I really need to improve it ,but the line is very good nevertheless.Secondly ,I myself suck at drawing faces too ,and I've been drawing faces daily ,and I would recommend studying more on proportion and drawing more faces from picture, study the construction of the head from Loomis or from Bridgman or any other of these,I guess you already know this .Hand studies are great ,keep working,I hope to see more :D ,good job and Cheers!

Rostas: Cheers again Rostas, I do have serious problems with faces and I think your right, only one way to defeat my demons, gotta stand up to them face to face :(
Promise in my next post I'll have some more face practice.
Okay here is a quick update, just some more hand studies and pose maniacs :(
Sorry for the bad update but I was up till stupid'o'clock last night and didn't sleep so this is all I could manage, terrible as it may be I was tired so I'll let that defend my case for now :yayca:

Hey bagg I'm sorry for the late response. To answer your question I work from generalized to detail, on everything :). That includes value, lines, shapes. So for lines I would use a lot of soft edges and then I'll start adding hard edges towards the area I want the person to look at. But this is nothing without my knowledge of the skull, muscles on the face, and finding those rhythm lines.

CastorFiber: hey man sorry the link didn't work but glad to hear you got the brushes :) yeah I think I'm in a bad stage where I really need to focus but keep getting distracted by petty problems.
Tandy1000: Hey man no problem, Cheers for the tips. I really need to work my ass off at anatomy, really good tutorial never really thought of the planes idea before :)
Hey guys been a while since I last posted, sorry about that since I'm supposed to be keeping this daily.
Lets just say I was... recovering :)
Sorry for this post lacking so much, but lately it's been a struggle to pick the pencil up.
Anyways here is a small post and more will be coming and daily, promise :yayca:

Thanks for your sweet comment, but I'm not brave enough to start a sketchbook here. I'm working on it. :P
I really enjoy how you handle your lines. You use some confident dark strokes, some sketchy lines with lots of movement. Your anatomy is getting really good, too. You improve fast, haha. I'd say that you should work on faces a bit more. The proportions are a bit off.
Also, all those beautiful pages of hand studies, and you wimp out when it actually comes time to draw hands on that last two images! You draw hands very well, so don't be lazy!! :P

Hey bagg dude ,what's up ,how are you doing? the studies are coming along nicely, you're improving with every single one. As always your line is very solid and I like that, not like my squishy-squashy one xD . But I am hoping for you to post more ,I really want to see you improve more, and I hope to see you post soon. With best regards and wishes , :) keep working hard!

Izer: thank you for the encouragement all ways good to hear :)
Lexxx: thank you, lol had an epiphany one day and my sig came out of that :)
PuppyKitten: cheers for the comment, I have to agree with you my faces are very poor at the moment really need to have a go at them and get some serious studies done :)
I know everytime I need to draw hands on a figure I bottle out in fear it may ruin the picture!
Rostas: hey Rostas always good to see you round here. How you been sorry I've been away from here for so long, but I'm back now and hopefully for good this time!
I promise to start posting again and try my best to improve and keep up with your insane tablet skillz :)
Ok so I've been away for a while and well I wish I could say I was on holiday or that life was so hectic that I couldn't post, but as usual for me this is not the reason, I guess the truth is I couldn't muster the courage to put pen to paper or pen to tablet :(
I guess it has become harder to accomplish the most menial of tasks lately, but I'm trying to get back into a good drawing routine!
well this is my entry into this weeks IDW, pink tractor :rocker:
Mine was a tractor that has been modified and turned into a dragcar or some may call it a dragtor! :donk:

Wow, It has been a long time since I posted here, well to be fair I haven't been drawing all that much despite my love for it :(
I've done a couple of drawings here and now, but there have been "issues" that have really been testing my willpower :(
I have a huge mario mural I did on my cousins wall while I was away from here and I'm in the middle of painting my wall so maybe when thats finished I'll get a picture up!
So here is a quick picture of my IDW! entry, subject was space police suit.
I didn't put at much time into it as I wanted but I guess it's something considering how little have done...
