These are my favorite:

1 hour each. No shading in any of these. My instructor was more focused on line quality/contour when we did these. Well we get the last 20 minutes to apply ink wash. But I only got to do that for one of 'em. The other two I got too caught up trying to get the little subtleties of her contour.

Crits are welcome. My instructor doesn't get to really give us a good critique during class.

I'll post the more recent ones as soon as I find my digital camera.

The back drawing is really elegant and beautiful. I visited your site, your lines have become much more careful and confident over the short weeks. Congrats!

i think you have a lot of really nice things going on in these drawings. i can see your progress. i really like the first one, just watch the lengths of the two arms. i know the foreshortening can cause problems. great job.

A few from the past few weeks
All 3 hours drawings. But I think it's more like 2 hours... we only had 6 sets of 20 minutes...20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120... 2 hours, right? Whatever.

This one is Pierre on toned paper. White charcoal is cool. I think I'll have to pick me up a sketchbook made of toned paper... or steal a lot of brown paper bags :)

This one is Jesse. I came into class about an hour late... so I really only had an hour to do this one. I spent A LOT of time redoing the legs over and over and over again.

hey those are really good. but u know what I think would help out a lot would be the thick and thin variety in your line. emphasized the bends and stretches in the pose by making a thicker stroke. then do thin lines where there is a lot of light or no stroke what so ever.:)
