hi guys
i love this forum a lot so i wanted to post my stuff here
http://go.to/zjworkshop
the site was made back about 2 years ago, i almost forgot about it already, today i visited it, it still exists!
i am a college student studying Information Systems (computers and shit)...drawing and painting is just my hobby, i never go to any school to learn art... so alot of my work were referenced, and i do not know any techniques, please excuse me about that...

Well, I have heard many gifted friends' regrets after they choose not to pursue their passion. You are very talented, please consider going to an art school and keep posting. dont let it go.

thx everyone for the kind words
couple of questions for everybody
how long do you guys spend on 1 page on sketch? i saw some real great work here, and i dont understand why you guys were able to achieve such detail sketching...
and how large of the paper do you guys use?

Generally, its about thirty minutes to an hour, it gets easier when you have a strong foundation on perspective, anatomy and depth. something thats earned from tons of studies, or even better, learned in a classroom setting.
I use 8.5 x 11 sketchbook. its a good enough size to lay down my ideas, carry around and most importantly, fit on the scanner.
Hope this helps

15-20 min sketches again
i do 2-3 of these everyday

then i do about 10 pages of doodles like these, i used cheap small note pad to draw (1/2 size of the regular line paper), so i can only manage to put 2-3 figures on one page :D

very good studies man, you have an understanding of light and form, however the figure lacks anatomical precision. I would say start lookin into some anatomy books and rock on!

Man your work is incredible, especially all the anime drawings youve done, i really am amazed by your lady in black one, and the legolas painting, absolutely incredible.
However it looks like youre rushing through your sketches, they should be quick but not rushed :D
Keep up the good work!
