View Full Version : Character Designs

Since this is mostly for personal/motivational reference (I write better when I can see my creations on paper, or in this case on the screen) I will mention from the start that I will not exceed $100.00 in payment for this project. However, if my budget is "unrealistic" I wouldn't mind a PM or email regarding realistic pay for such projects. I am new to this after all.

That being said, I am looking to bring to life three character types. To be a little more specific, three divisions of para-military security forces for a corporation influenced by Shinra Electric Company (Final Fantasy VII) and to a lesser extent the Umbrella Corporation. Yes, you guessed it... Octocorp.

These characters have and will continue to be used in writings and someday in online comics but I need to start somewhere.

If interested (and if you would like a quicker response) please email

steve@octocorp.com

I can provide lots of samples/examples to help you get a very good idea of what I'm looking for. Aside from small compensation, credit with the original designs will be provided as often as possible and I will (if applicable) provide referrals as they come by. If I like you and we work well together, I'll probably stick with you for future projects.

I'm big on loyalty.

Also, prepare to leave egos behind. I don't have time for such things and don't intend to waste yours.

Thanks

Steve

Well For developing 3 characters fully then I'm sorry to say no self respecting conceptual artist would deign to do it for so little. 100 bucks is barely acceptable for 1 character.

Tho some people might be desperate to take it, I doubt the quality you will get will be of any decent level.

Goodluck with you search

Brashen:

I thank you for your honest but unnecessary and progressively inaccurate opinion. As it turns out, I have discovered several "self respecting" artists that are willing to work with me and within my own means. I would not be surprised to see new inquiries once I check my email. I've been corresponding with a few of these artists via email and they do not seem "desperate."

I would appreciate it if you refrained from downplaying their efforts and motives if they may not coincide with your point of view. There is a reason why I asked for such opinions via PM or email. I do not feel your comments were needed on an open forum and I still welcome them.

That being said, I would like to close this topic as I have received enough bids for my project and do not want to have to turn any more people down.

Thank you

Hello! I was just wondering if you were still looking for someone, or if the position has been filled?
