Hello
I'm Becca and I'm (almost) 17 years old. I haven't updated my sketch book in about a year, but now I really want to get serious about improving my drawing and so I have come back! Any help would be greatly appreciated. (keep in mind that most of these drawings are about a year old) I will be posting more shortly!

Hey Becca, great start for your sketchbook and towards improving your art. You could try to draw objects from real life, or study some interiors like the kitchen or a hallway. You can really improve your art as well as observation skills (perspective, lighting, and line weight) Goodluck and remember to take any advice with a grain of salt, keep updating :)

I've been away from my computer for a few weeks, here are a few of the sketches I made during that time. I've been working on more drawing from life.
I'll be posting more very soon!

Wow! I really like your drawings. They are so beautiful! There's something quite appealing and precious going and your art is recognizable. Take care as you learn to draw better you don't lose that personal touch. I also like how carefully you study too. I have no advice to offer yet, you seem to be doing all the right things. :)

Hey there!
Your sketches are great, you are 15 and already so good :-)
You still draw very carefully, thus I would suggest that you go to the zoo and draw some animals, or draw the kids in your school. You will see that thats much harder.
This exercise will make you faster and you will learn to observe more accurately.
You should visit:
http://www.posemaniacs.com/
and try the 30 second drawing tool.
It's really good to warm up :D
Keep it up, you are on the right track.

I really like your faces. There's something about them that just compels me to stare at them. It's good that you're doing studies! That can definitely help you with the one thing I can really crit on: more full body pictures. :3
And I love the red panda. Keep up the great work!

The first drawing is a self portrait I made about half a year ago and the second I made yesterday using a mirror. still doesn't look exactly like me but I've gotten better!

i think you are developing a really nice and peculiar style
i absolutely love the coloured portrait of the blonde girl :)
i agree , though , that you seem to draw to carefully; i would suggest to try to explore and experiment without a fear of mistakes - true you might not get something right the first time you're trying something out but you'll learn from that mistake and progress
best of luck :)

I'm not quite sure how to work on drawing less carefully, any suggestions?
I haven't posted in a few days because I've been busy with some things
but here are some hands.

I haven't posted any sketches in a VERY long time, mainly because scanning all of my drawings takes too long, but I've been practicing a lot during that time.
Here's my latest Project, One of my summer assignments for the art high school I'm going to next year. It's a self portrait made with prismacolor colored pencils.

Ahh I haven't updated this in about a year. It's about time. My sketch books have been horribly neglected. I haven't improved as much as I would have liked to this year, but I have a lot more time to draw now that school is out for the summer. Time to get serious about drawing again! I really hope to improve as much as I possibly can.
So here's my latest acrylic painting!
More sketches will be coming shortly.....

All looks excellent!
Eyes are drawn fairly large all round, though I don't know if that's the style you're going for.
Keep on postin'

Forrest_I and AlexTooth: Thank you for your comments, I'll try my hardest to keep it up!
These are a few more sketches I did today. The first two are from imagination. I know the girl is crooked and my anatomy sucks... please help!
