hey all
i finally tracked down and purchased some pilot hi-tec c pens, and i love em! but im finding its like i hafta learn how to use a pen all over again as they are so precise.
ive seen the amazing work that el coro and feng and many others have done with these pens, and i was wondering if anyone has some good exercises/tips/warm-ups for using pens.
are there any good books you can reccommend for drawing with pens?
cheers!!

here is how you use a pen: first you put it in your hand, then you lower your hand down to the paper, then when you move your hand with the pen in it over the paper this stuff called ink comes out onto the paper. good luck

also, ink pen lines don't need to be the super clean stuff feng does.
i see just as much possibilities where you can use a shaky line or a line drawn several times over and over...
just don't care, work with the medium, not against it :)

Hey Skank,
I think it's better to let the pen ,or what ever, work in the context of your approach and style. In the end you'll get better and more honest results…. Does that make any sense?… It made sense in my head before I typed it out . Oh well, just draw a lot.
