Didn't find any of this info on their web-site and its pretty damn important to me.

1.) Do they have an Admission advisors that deal with potential international students? an email or something would come in handy.

2.) I want to get to the Entertainment Design program so first thing first:
How long is it? how many years does it take to finish the program? and what the hell is a "term", how long is it? last thing about dates - how many semesters are there in one study year?

3.) Because i'm considered an international student my only REAL problem is money. So after checking with their web-site i have found out that almost every kind of financial aid is for U.S citizen students only, or maybe i'm wrong?
anyway - an email of some financial advisor from ArtCenter would be nice here to.

I definitely want to hear from the ArtCenter international students that participate in this forums. Please tell your financial experiences like tuition, everyday living like renting, food, transportation etc.

Thanks for your attention folks, Cheers!

Corel.

Well, There is an Art center thread: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=24843

There are 54 Pages, But if you narrowed down all your schools and would like to know the most you can about Art center, you should read through it, I read through like 45+ pages, because i really wanted to know more about the school, and yeah that's my final choice.

1) I think it would be in the thread.

2) It is a 4 year program, . Entertainment Design has 8 terms. We finish 2 terms a year. Each term has 2 Semesters. Each Term is 15 weeks, .. i think XD, ( Anyone correct me if i'm wrong)

So you asked how many semesters in one study year? 4, because 2 terms = 4 semesters.

3) Try The thread.

You are actually quite wrong...
I have talked to ArtCenter guys and they told me that term = 14 weeks, about the semesters its hard to tell because one person told me its like 2 or 3(depends on you) semesters per year and another person told me that basically term equals semester and in fact a "semester" is not the right word here so they prefer using terms.(kind of odd because that's what they are using with in their website..)

In order to finish the program 8 terms are needed.
The program is NOT a 4 year program, well actually it depends on you but anyway - if you take all the terms consecutively it would be like 2.4 years.
(a simple math - 14 weeks * 8 ).
As i understand, taking all the terms consecutively is not common - why is that? i mean - when you go to study something you need to expect to work hard and in a consecutive matter.
I don't see any of the lets say computer science guys take breaks between their studies(except the formal breaks..).
The question about the semesters still stands because thats what they refer to when talking about tuition, and for me its the number 1 issue here.

About the thread - sure i'll read that but its like damn 54 pages! anyway if someone has an answer for me or wants to share his learning experience in Artcenter please reply :)

actually for entertainment design program i think they make them take summers off so it would be 2 terms a year for them but i'm not sure.

people take terms off for different reasons. sometimes to catch up or take a good long break so people dont burn themselves out or job or internship. it's not necessarily a bad thing it's not imperative to rush through.

You asked for Entertainment Design program, i gave you entertainment design program information. It's 2 terms a year no matter what for that program. They make you take a term off.

hello

entertainment design is only spring and fall terms. you can only apply for fall terms and it fills up really fast, so it's best to apply before march. summer terms are off so students can take a break and take classes at other concept art schools, do their own thing, get an internship, job, etc. one of the main reasons is that you are so burnt out and have learned so much in 2 terms, a break is the best thing to soak it in and actually apply what you have learned into your art, rather than speed through school, learn and learn, consequently losing some important knowledge. it is absolutely crucial, as a concept designer/artist to have time to see things, see the world, go out and have time to observe.
you'll learn a lot from the 'official art center thread'. a good amount of the fall 2009 incoming entertainment design students have spit out a lot of the info you are looking for.

Well, in the meanwhile my problem is money, because at the moment i can raise only 50K$ and obviously thats not enough, :( i just dont understand how other students can afford this..there is no way all ACCD students are millionaires. :/

Look for a program that will give you strong training in basic, representational visual arts skills.
