Since I did the front view, I decided to at least do the side view and proportions this week end. I realize that there are many tutorials out there, but this Is something I think will come In handy and Thought I should post It here on CA.org. I'm not sure If I'm supposed to add this to my other thread or what, but I figured they should be separate for a more specific search. If the mods want me to update then please delete this thread and PM me.
FRONT VIEW TUTORIAL found here: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=156101
I will attempt with the best of my knowledge to guide the viewer In a simple and coherent manner to create a proportional template In a way that can be learned quickly and repeated at any time. For this tutorial I will not be showing how to draw the facial features, only the areas where they should be, also I will not be using a box grid, but more of a free flow oval system, this allows for a more free drawing feel to the template.
I hope this helps anyone that views It better understand the construction and proportions of the head and face.
Feel free to comment and link to others If you find this useful. If this goes well I'll think about making more tutorials (facial features/expressions etc.). Also I didn't get ample time to check for errors so I apologize If any are found, please PM me any errors or anything you feel Isn't clear. Thanks for viewing.
I also encourage any guests that view these to register here on concept.org and become apart of the community. Share your thoughts, questions, post your art work, get critiques, start a sketchbook to chronicle your creative and artistic growth, join the challenges of the week and see what others are doing and are into, and more.
