Hi all!! my names Hannah, new around here!!

Im a digital artist, more a hobby than anything, I work as a computer technician.

Anyway! the reason for my post is to find the name/artist of a painting i have admired since i was little, but never ended up finding out its name..

my descriptions suck lol, but i'll try!

Its a room, with 3 girls and a large head with green leaves as hair in it. This room opens up to the left out into what looks to be a vast landscape of ice.

in the center of the room is a fireplace where one of the girls (from my very scratchy memory,) is burning some books.

to the right of the room you can see ocean, which laps into the room and you can see a ship in the distance.

if someone could help me with this i'd really appreciate it!! i'd like to finally have this bit of working hanging in my room!

cheers all, thanks again and look forward to being here!

"Entre les Trous de la Memoire" ("Between the gaps of memory" ) by Dominique Appia.

I remember being really enamored by this piece when I first saw it too.
I was browsing prints in the shopping mall and stumbled across this.
Surprisingly, it still holds up very well (which memories of forgotten paintings rarely do).

Here is his website:

Confusing as shit to navigate, but you can view details after clicking on the image.
