EDIT: New posts at the bottom. =D
I'm fairly new here and I'm excited about getting serious critique on my art. I have done the Deviantart scene for a while but I'm tired of the "lol, i like the colorz" kind of comments. I have gotten previous critique on the critique forum here and I appreciate the feedback SOOO much.
Anyway, I only have two sketches right now to upload. I want to make atleast one doodle a day, so this might be updated on a regular basis. And of course I want critique of my work. Woo!
The first doodles was just me practicing drawing facial expressions and stuff. I obviously need more work, haha. The second sketch is just a doodle from class, but I figured I could upload it anyway.

Before I went to bed I saw one of my cockatiels sleeping outside of the cage. I couldn't resist sketching how cute Pam was sleeping. Also drew her eyeball because eyes are always fun to draw.

Hay there Cyla, and welcome to CA!
Haha, great to hear you gave up Deviantart, this place is much nicer, and its great to see your hanging out for critiques!
Well he we go,
not to much in here yet, but I like the graphical style of the second sketch, and am pleased to see the bird study!
Studies and drawings from life like this are great, do as many of these as you can, and if you can get hold on any anatomy books, that's the next thing you should be studying.
And these are great:right: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=131117
Good luck for now Cyla, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll come up with")
Cheers,
matt

After I took a final today at college I went by the bay (which is across the street from the college. The college has the best campus right by the bay!) and I sketched out what I saw. I've never really did landscapes before, so I'm sure perspective and everything is wrong, but I gave it a go anyway. Anyone have tips on how to do landscapes and/or water? The water was really hard to make it look like water...and it still doesn't look like water.

I figured before I go to bed I'll also post two little sketches I drew of some pansies that are in my flower box. For some reason most of the pansies were facing away from me, so I decided to sketch them from an unpopular angle.

I sketched a little part of my tomato plant. Obviously the one in the middle is a tiny tomato and the two buds to the side just finished blooming, so in a few days tomatoes will start growing. =D I should keep a sketch journal of how my tomatoes grow. That would be interesting.
EDIT: I added some 30 second sketches from Posemaniacs.com. It was the first time I did these 30 second sketches and it was fun. I'll definitely do more of these in the future.

I did some figure drawing today. Two of them have a bit of detail, the rest are 90 second sketches from posemaniacs.
I am also trying to draw a gift for my friend. she has been bugging me for a drawing of a mermaid crocheting. I've sketched out and detailed some stuff in, but I still feel like something is missing. I am trying to get out of my style of...boring and this is falling back into it. I've posted this elsewhere on this site, but have yet to get any feedback on it. PLEASE give me some critique on this. Something looks odd, yet I cannot pinpoint it.

Some more 90 second sketches. One day when I get out of my art block/slump I'll draw something with imagination. Until then...this is what I have. For some reason the website kept giving me back shots. I noticed when I do back shots the first thing I draw outside of the outline is the buttocks. I guess I like a man with a nice ass, haha. Now if only I could draw nice butts...

I realize some hand anatomy is off; why must hands be so difficult!

I think you're missing the point of these quick poses. You shouldn't be trying to record all the different body parts and structures in that time, you should just be capturing the pose. Every pose is a different story with a different main idea, you shouldn't really have a first thing to draw. If you do I'd say start with the line of action (http://www.animationarchive.org/pics/pbanimation07-big.jpg) or possible the head. Also try this (http://pixelovely.com/tools/gesture.html) as an alternative to posemaniacs, real people and less crazy angles.
I'd suggest doing some anatomy studies, it doesn't seem like you have a good enough grasp of the human form to go into stylization yet.
PS I wrote that first part before I noticed the quote in it was over a year old, sorry. Maybe it'll still help though..

Here is a few more sketches from earlier today. My husband was being sexy on the floor, so I sketched him along with my pet cockatiels.
Also note my first 6 or 7 posts were from 2009. Just finally remembered this website, haha.

Man, work has sucked the creativity out of me lately. All I have are 3 colored drawings and an inked sketch. I really, REALLY need to sketch more. Stupid lack of imagination.
