Hello, I've been lurking for a while and this is my first post. My question though, is, what is the difference between the Wacom Intuous 2 and the Wacom Graphire 2. I can't really find the information on the site and I'm looking to purchase either one. So any information would be appreciated.

hi

if you compare the tech specs they give on their site, you'll see that:

the graphire is available in one tiny size while intuos is also available in larger sizes

graphire featurs 512 levels of pressure while intuos features 1024 (= finer control of pen pressure)

also, the graphire doesn't recognize the tilting of your stylus, the intuos does.
with your standard photoshop brushes, you won't fnd this very important but in painter, you can't use some tools effectively at all without it (palette knifes and such)

resulting of all this, intuos is more expensive.
