TEEN CHALLENGE 64

The Rules:
Anyone ages 13-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline. Please host your image on a remote image-hosting site instead of uploading it to the CA server. This makes it much easier to transfer it to the poll thread.

The Topic: The Gladiator, pretty straight forward, but try to put your own spin on it. For example, what nation and what time does s/he live in. Don't be limited to the roman area and time. What is his/her fighting style, what weapons, etc.

IMPORTANT
1. Add a border around your image with your name and the topic, like they do with the other of the week challenges.
2. Please do not use attachment manager, but outside host your image.
3. Mark your final as final

The Deadline:
Sunday, may, 17th: 2 weeks.

Yes, the character can be either male or female.

hi never done the teen challenge befor :D im 19 so im a little late to the game but heres my entry he's some sort of cyborg prototype gladiator, for use in a bigbrother last man standing type of show :D sounds fun

Finished my folios this week, so I should have some time.

Getting down some sketches now, but nothing solid.

May make mine a girl, not sure yet.

Gladiator Girl is on her way!

Some good stuff coming through guys, and remember, development is the most important stage, dont rush it.

PS: just thought i'd say: a female gladiator is a gladiatrix

otherwise i've decided to go with a classic+fantasy roman/Grecian hybrid era due to my overuse of sci-fi themed concepts recently... (too many aliens) so mine's gna be a little less extravegant than the other sci-fi types :/
sadly i am a nit and have lost my WIPs (gotta love 2 week challenges :3)

looking good so far to the few we can see...

JoshJohannson: Nice concept! The stadium seems a little tilted to me, particularly close to the ground.

Corza: here's some crit for you... I like the character design/concept, but it's a little hard to see right now because everything is kind of fuzzy. Try to make hard things (ex. armor) have hard edges. Also you can add more dimension by giving different surfaces different textures - just put some hard bright highlights on shiny things and softer, more spread-out lighting on matte stuff. Hope this helps!

You'd better finish it up man, looking good. The legs look kinda short imo, but that could be me.

I like the colour,
are those giant floating seating? Or lights? It's kind of hard to tell.. for me anyway.

my gladiator is called 'Marneus of the West, a hispanic barbarion tribesman captured as a slave and forced to fight for the entertainment of all, his weapons are two Bolas (a hispanic design originally) which double as thrashing flail death Dealers.

Jatherip - I love it! Very cool and creepy.
Lady chestnut- hilarious.

Here's mine. I imagined a space-age girl captured and put in the arena. Her first time ever in a gladiatorial fight, she is blinded by the lights and doesn't even notice her opponent.
