Hey all, I've been working on this image a lot, to try to get it more finished looking. I posted it awhile back, and after reading some of the crits, I re-worked it and added a background. I'm going to post both so People can give me their opinions at seeing the before and after.

Before...

After...

Please crit, and tell me what you think. I am really trying to get what I believe is a potentailly successful piece to work well.
Thanks

Only one reply on a work this fabulous?! An outrage to the artistic world! Kudos on an exceptionaly nice peice of work here. I really like the newer one, the extra lighting realy gives the picture a lot more depth. By the way nice eyes! I've tried to do the one normal one freaky both creepy thing but it turn out so nice. You've really inspired me to try it out again. Oh and i was wondering what media you used for this piece? Again nice art!

LOL, thanks for the comments. Yeah, usually when I post, not many people respond, so i try to thank everyone who does take the time. I truly appreciate the comments, its very humbling to see that one of my pieces has inspired you. Thank you for the compliment. The eyes? I don't know why, but I always liked the idea of having one of my fantasy characters have one dead eye. This guy was just beggin for it though. I did a full drawing first, then scanned it into the PC and colored in in Painter 7.
Again, thanks for the comments

Very nice. I see he isn't missing part of his skull now! ;) Very nicely done. I like the lighting, you are very good at that.

But 300 veiws and no replies is pretty discouraging, at least people are replying finally!

Wasn't it the Mad King earlier? :D being a mad wizard makes more sense. I like your work, would you consider making it into a full body view, so ya can see the whole guy and his mad doings?

Good work dyoung one.

[edit] oh yeah.. I think you should sharpen up the cloak, make it less blurry, it kind of looks blurry. Merry christmas to you as well!

Mr. Teatime-
Thanks for the compliments man, I really appreciate it. Yeah 700+ views and only like 5 replies kinda sucks, but it doesn't bother me too much. :) Yeah after lookin at his skull, I was like damn... he it is cut off isn't it. So, I messed with it and hopefully I did it better. I agree that the cloak could be worked better. A merry Christmas to you and your family and thanks for the kind comments!

I don't really have any critisisms on the piece, but I thought I'd respond to say I like it anyways. :)

I would, however, like to see a larger version of the current image instead of the thumbnail.

I'm not a good critic because I hate telling anyone their work is bad, but this one will be easy it's great, I like both images. You did an incredible job at making him look fierce, and angry. I wouldnt want to meet him in a dark alley.

GOOD WORK!!!!!:D

Hey everyone, just got done with the Christmas meal, and thought I'd see what was cookin...

fukifino-
Thanks for the info man, I'm glad you like it...:) I'll post a larger image of it for you to see.

dolphinfire-
Thank you very much... But if there's anything that's out of place in your mind, don't hesitate... please.

Yaseck-
There is a certain quality that the first image holds that I find appealing... Its loose quality is rather nice I think. Plus several people I know tell me that they don't really like the background of the new piece.

Merry Christmas to you all, I hope that your New Years are happy ones.
