Filling up the entire page and eliminating white space is what I'm working on lately.
I've recently discovered the Hard Edge school of painters from the 60's; a great inspiration for shape/design.

Looks like you are on your way to developing a nice style. The only thing I would say is that your compostion looks kind of haphazard, especially in the second pic, like you are just filling in the blank spaces and not leaving room for all your figures. Crowded compositions are a perfectly acceptable visual tool, but you might want to visualize a bit more in your head and plan your space out. The characters in the second one look kind of shoved into whatever space was still available after the first elements were already in place.
Other than that I like it. There are some nice imaginative characters, like the purple creature who is all bound up. Looks like something else might be caught inside his suit with him and he just realized it. Good mix of abstract and representational elements.

Thanks for the level comments.
If you peeled back the layers of ink and coloured pencil, you would find no loose composition at all. I believe I started with a shape at the center of the page and worked out from there, plopping down elements as they came to me.
Now that I'm becoming aware of the overall page and what I want to do with it, subsequent drawings will probably be less haphazard.
I agree with your comments about the second picture. The way characters overlap is confusing, even to my eye.
Incisive remarks. Very helpful.
