Lately I've been re-reading my old C&H books from my childhood.
And I thought, what if he aged just like I have...

And then this happened

lol, nice pic :) I was wondering the exact same thing a couple of days ago! (I quite often resort to 'what would calvin do' line of thought in times of difficulty in decision making ;) )

What I want to know is what does calvin do for a living now he is all grown up?

Big fan of Calvin & Hobbes myself growing up. Now we need to see what Susie Derkins looks like.
Color pallet and drawing style of the background fit right in with the style of the world. Calvin and Hobbes drawing style seems to have moved away from the original. Lines are straighter and have less variation. Was wondering if that was purposeful or just how it came out? Also, I would make Calvin's pants longer...
Great image, and thanks for the trip grown up trip down memory lane.

Yeah their drawing style is more my own style.
I tried to vary line weight like how Bill Watterson did, but still it mainly reads as how I draw.
The forest looking like his style was more important in my mind, because even though Calvin and Hobbes don't look like his work, I think they still represent the characters.

About the pant length.. yeah... that was a toughie.
So in the original comics is he wearing shorts or pants?
I could never tell, so I just made these, not shorts, and not fullish pants, man-capri's I guess is what they are. Or perhaps they are pants rolled up so that he can still wade in streams with Hobbes.

Besides if anyone makes fun of him for wearing them, it'll be a water balloon to the face!

Great work, very imaginative. Great idea to age them a bit.

Hobbes asks the exact same question in one of the strips and Calvin gets mad and complains about how short pants come down to his ankles. :P

Nice idea. I love. I don't know why but calvin has a John Constantin attitude. Give him a trench coat and a cigarette and you've got him.
