Can someone who has/is attending SCAD somehow give/show me an example of a schedule of their freshman year? I just want a rough idea of how many classes you take/took per day or per week. I don't care what major you are (although Animation is preferable). I'm curious. :o

SCAD generally encourages Freshmen to take 3 classes per quarter, with 2 focusing on studio classes (Drawing I, Color Theory, Drawing II, etc.) and one regular class (Math, History, English, etc.).
Your first quarter you won't have any way to pick your schedule, SCAD just gives it to you so you get going, and they generally have it set up like above (Though I seem to recall one my friends had it inverted somehow...) After that first quarter, you pretty much can only take 3 classes at a time. The credit system works in a way that 2 classes is usually too low of a credit fulfillment to keep most scholarships, and 4 classes requires a special signoff on that (Never tried it, so dunno what that is exactly.)
I'd say follow the 2:1 ratio for studio to regular classes. 3 studios is possible, but can be incredibly time consuming and needlessly stressful. Anyway, you'll have to meet with a guidance counselor or sorts each quarter your freshman year to organize your classes, so they'll help you out.
Also, as a slightly off-topic note, take some sequential classes with those animation courses. You'll come out all the better for it.

Ah, okay! I finally understand now. Thank you.
But I'd also like to ask, if it isn't too much trouble, is how often you have these classes. Do you have all three classes in the same day every day of the week except for the one day when SCAD doesn't have any classes?

All SCAD classes occur twice a week, sometime Monday through Thursday, with Friday being designated a "studio" day (No classes, but all buildings and services are open to students.) Classes are either Mon/Wed, or Tues/Thurs.
Generally you'll end up with 2 classes on one day, and one class on another. Since all classes run 2 1/2 hours long, they have a pretty rigid time schedule. Providing they didn't change it since I graduated, the time schedule is pretty much 8-10:30, 11-1:30, 2-4:30, 5-7:30, 8-10:30. So you'll have your classes in one of those time slots.
You'll find that as you pick out your classes after your first quarter you'll probably lump your classes together according to proximity (Especially if you're going to the Savannah campus, since their buildings are SCATTERED all across the city.) So an example of a kind of schedule a freshmen would expect:
Mon/Wed:
- Art History I: 11-1:30
- Drawing I: 5-7:30
Tues/Thurs:
- 2-D Design: 2-4:30
Of course, as you get along in your education, you can choose to put all 3 classes on one day, which frees up two days (and can give you an even longer weekend,) just be aware of the fact all your project due dates and papers might fall on the same day then.
Hope that helps!
