Um. You could have chosen a better background/look that describes the Holocaust more. I do not think they had high-rise buildings at the time in Germany.

It looks good, but if the title wasnt there I wouldn't connect it to the holocaust

yea i agree if i wasn't told wat if was about i wouldn't be able to connect it with anything although i can see the reference to death but not on the level of the holocaust i think to grip the viewer more a picture of the concentraton camps or he ghettos i feel.

well, there were high-rising buildings in germany at that time... although not skyscraper format. :)

there sure are enough photos of german cities of that time on the web that may give you an idea of the style and way it looked like. i bet if you search forevents like the reichskristallnacht, you will find lots of photos that also show something of the cities.

what the others said... i see a connection to death, but not a connection to persecution of minorities (not only jews... homosexuals, gipsies and enemies of the system were persecuted, too) and the sheer size of destruction. maybe you could have a middle ground showing a huge field of those small anonymous graveyard stones, just to show that it is impossible to call every single victim by name.

if you want to go for a bit more klischee, you could give your reaper a more "german" attire. the stance is pretty good already, but what about giving him breeches trousers, knee high uniform boots and a scythe of edgy classicist design?

edit: it's a hard topic you chose. and, if i am allowed to be honest, one that has been beaten to death. i advocate for something that is dedicated to ALL victims of that war. all the soldiers, all the civilians and, of course, all the persecuted.
