Hi everyone

i'm posting here for the first time. I recently started playing with photoshop, and this is the first image i came up with.

i made it with pretty much no references, it's all pretty much straight from my mind. i created the pots with 3dstudio max...but the textures i made in photoshop

i can't really say how long it took me because i stopped working on it for a while....but i'd say about 6 hours roughly

i'm getting better at photoshop and i'll post more images as i make them.

but check out this drawing and tell me what you think.

Very slick image, great shading work as well, just one thing is the smoke/steam from the pot at the bottom meant to lead through the guys hand or is the placement accidental.

the smoke wasn't supposed to look like it is coming through his hand....that's an error on my part....

I like the character but the pots look kind of out of place. They are 3D, yes?

It looks like you've taken a bunch of things and put them together to make that image. To me they dont all fit with each other. It's still pretty cool. Did you make everything start to finish or did you use stuff from elsewhere?

Laconic....i agree with you...the pots stand out from the background because they are in a different style....i think i will go back and try and rework them to fit in with the rest of the image....

pretty much i drew the character in pencil from scratch a long time ago....then i brought him into photoshop and added the background....i created the pots in 3D Studio Max and brought them into photoshop....

i will post more pictures later, i am currently working on one....i hope you guys will like it and of course offer feedback
