Anyone else find Conceptart.org slow?

i would post more if it werent so slow...im on DSL and sijun and eatpoo pops right up quickly but whenever i visit this board its seem to lag a bit...anyone else find it slow?

I'm on cable and it was hella-slow last week.
Back to being smooth again though.

yup, same here the last 7 days have been a pain for me. I couldn't browse through the forums, because it was extremely slow or even stuck not making a move anywhere. I even got dsl, but it didn't help! ;)

Well, if something is slow or doesn't work at all, you've probably got a problem:
a) between you and your ISP
or
b) between your ISP and the server
or
c) on the server

If something is slow (it does work most of the time, but it's slow) then the problem is likely on the server. Most likely because of too much traffic (the server doesn't have time for all the requests it gets - this is about the same thing that happens if you try to play a game on a computer and it stutters).
I'm getting quite some e-mail saying "Database error" (all saying that it has lost the connection to the database server, which MOST likely is because that server is too busy). So, the current host isn't very fast, but I haven't had any _extreme_ problems with it. You should try (if you can) to visit the forums in the mornings or something like that - may help (I'm not saying that's a good solution, but just for a test...).

Anyway, there's nothing I can do about this. There are two things we can do to make it faster...talk to the current host and make them upgrade their servers in some kind of way - not very likely to happen. Or, we could try to move somewhere else...which takes time, costs money (unless we can get a free host...) and MAY NOT make it faster...

i had the same problem yesterday, works fine now.
I have adsl. if you want to know.
And because of our new, cool and improved chat (here (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1663)) i found out more people were having that problem at the time....stupid server...:( ;) :p :D
