actually this is from the dsg. i am a steady dsg'er. but since i cant get any crit there ill try here. ive been doing bodies some time. im looking for an all out crunching of this piece. i think it is not that bad considering my skills.
everyone help me out please?

I'm new to drawing bodies too, but one thing that's helped me is a) using reference, and b) stopping from time to time and looking at the pic, seeing if it looks right.

Looking at this, i especially notice her right shoulder/arm. It just looks wrong.

Hey, got your link from the DSG.

I agree with seraph about the arm... if you notice when you hold your arms at your sides, they sort of catch the bottom of the ribcage, just above navel level. the hand is about halfway down your thigh. In comparison, the raised arm looks really good. Nice job.

And to me, it seems like there should be more of her buttocks showing (not to be crude) but it appears to flat.

To really help i'd have to play around with it myself, but what i would suggest is looking around at any local colleges or art centers. I took a 10 week figure drawing course at an art college near by, and i know my local art center has live models come in every friday night. You can pay 8 dollars and draw for 3 hours at their facilities. It's possible there is somethingn similar near you. This is the best thing, in my opinion, because not only are you drawing from life and not just a photo, but you can get critiques from those around you and learn from each other.

thanks for the replies. i appreciate it. all your efforts were picked up as helpfull and not as condesending (whatever taht means. im not english).
looking at it now: the hips seem too big/wide i know about the arm i didnt spend too much attention on it. it must have gone wron in the construction part. boobs are too small for aphrodite :) have to see more pron.
i think im gonna try redrawing references and look for an art college in amsterdam if anyone knows someplace id love to hear it! ist there a list of them on CA? :p
