Hi! I'm an art neophyte so hopefully this sketchbook will cronicle my journey in and out of art suckdom.

My main artistic influences come from 50/60's stuff, I guess you could call it custom culture or whatever you like. I like pinstriping, Tiki stuff (big suprise), pin-ups, Rat Fink, Sailor Jerry art, old boxing fight promotions, you get the picture.

I borrowed a Wacom Bamboo from a friend a couple days ago to try add something new to my web design abilities. Hopefully I can reach that goal.

Any and all comments/questions/accusations/persecutions are welcome!

I think posting more art would give us a good look at the range of your skills. It's hard to crit one piece without knowing where it stands in the body of your work.....

More! More!

Let us see what you can do. You say you like pin-ups. I think that is what I'd like to see (some anatomical studies).

Thanks, I will work on more. Right now this is all I have. The only other thing I have done was an apple for another thread in the Photoshop area on here.I will be adding more as I create more. Right now it just takes me a while to get anything done.

I understand where you are coming from - it takes me ages to produce stuff to upload. Once you get into a habit of doing sketches and paintings and uploading each week, you will get faster and faster at producing work. I made the mistake of not sketching for a few weeks and it really knocked me back (so I'm trying to get back into it again).

Try perhaps doing some reference sketches of life models (plenty online). Remember it is a sketchbook - the work does not need to be finished pieces.

Sorry it's been so long. I have actually been sketching some, just haven't had time to scan anything. The only scanner I have access to is here at work, and it's a B/W scanner.
