Hey guys,
A while back I bought a Genius GPen F610 - which is a fine tablet itself, but the software drivers cause many conflicts with other programs. Seems newegg is having a sale and I'm finally looking into Wacom.

Has anyone had any experience with this tablet? Will it get you through the day with Photoshop or The GIMP smoothly? Is the small amount of space really an issue for detail art work? Is there a better option for me within that price range?
Thanks,
-Jake

idk if you still are interested in this thread...
The smaller area isn't bad, but it makes works sort of tedious due to more zooming in/out. I highly recommend looking into a bamboo fun if you want a tablet on the cheap. Not only is it bigger, it also comes with a mouse, a bunch of basic corel painter and photoshop stuff, and some decent pressure sensitivity.

Thank you for responding. Yeah I'm going to hold off for now and maybe invest in something at least a little bigger, like the bamboo fun you suggested.

Ehmm... you are correct. I bought this very same Bamboo a year ago and hardly used it, because it was indeed tedious with such a small area.
But the Bamboo Fun (the larger one) is pretty expensive tho and not that far off from the Intuos4 Medium.
So if I were the OP I would save up an extra month and then buy the Intuos4 Medium instead.
I bought it a couple weeks ago and love it!
