I have a contract that I was curiouse as to what this clause meant, so I wasnt signing myself into some slave camp or male prostitution ring lol...

heres the wording that I wasnt sure on..

"The designer assignes the copyrights of the images to ------- and waives his moral rights in the same way."

the line "and waives his moral rights in the same way" is a bit funny to me?...any advice or info from any of you who have a understanding in legal stuff would be very appreciated :)

thanks

I ran a quick google search and found the following

http://www.legal-definitions.com/IP/moral-rights.htm

http://www.copyright.gov/reports/exsum.html

http://www.aussi.org/profissues/moralrights.htm

So basically that line sounds like you're waivering your connection with that work, and allowing it to be altered, or destroyed -- cut into smaller pieces (like a painter's work)

Hope that helps.
