Hmm i havent posted work here in probably well over a year. part of that is probably because ithink my style doesnt fit as well onthis forum as it does on others. I guess its because of the cartoony/stylized nature of my work.

Anyways i decided to take a chance and post =p. Some of you might have seen this stuff on eatpoo but i figured that not EVERY one goes on the other forums. So i thought i would share it here.

OK this first part of the post is work from a Leica Reel i had to do for school ( not done but already handed in, will finish it later on my free time) Its the story of this character:

http://plouffe.f2o.org/albums/FinishedWork/Char.jpg

Hes playing a video game, falls asleep and next thing you know hes in the game. Long story short he finds a box of light bulb gets chased by some bad guys. He uses the lightbulbs by attaching them to his helmet thing. And ever time he uses one his body undergoes a body type change. These are the 3 different changes he goes through:

http://plouffe.f2o.org/albums/Doodles/charline.jpg

in the end he wakes up and it was all a dream.

Here are 2 rough animations a walkcycle and a side step:

and Coloured storyboards from the leica

While im at it I might as well post all the other crap i wanted to. Instead of posting in different threads. Here goes

I enjoyed the progressive you did with the light bulb. Really tells a story. For some reason I think that it would make a good CG animation. Maybe you could get Pixar to do it as a short, XD XD

Great stuff man. You should post here more often. I've actually been noticing some very unique styles drifting through. It isnt all about the realism.

beautiful work.. i love the texture you got going on in some of these.. i think if you lost the sketchiness, and made some nice clean lines, itd be perfect

Really cool work. I really like the sketchiness to the pics. It gives them a lot more character.

The story boards are fantastic. You can instantly tell what is happening and what should be happening.

Definitely post more of your work :D

Great cartoony style! The characters and expressions are great! Nice cycles, too. On the latter pieces, the cartoony style, mixed with painterly coloring, makes for a really interesting and cool apprearance.

Halis: Hehe thanx man. funny thing though i was going to apply for pixar as soon as i get this demo real done 0_o. not that i expect working there. Im still in school just wanted to see what would happen if i did =p. Most i expect is no reply at all haha..

Main loop: Thanx for your comment. To tell you the truth i HATE nice clean lines. I just cant do it and also i just really dont like the look. you loose so much life and volume when you clean up something to 1 line. One thing i learned from animation is that wheny ou clean up animation you can never have it look exactly like you had it in the rough animation stage. There soo much life in it and subtleties. Whne you clean up animation you get a similar copy and but lose life and little suttleties in movement as well as loss of volumes.. Even with a GREAT clean up artist. =p..

Rusty: thanx man glad you like it.

Chad: woah. Weird that you reply to my thread.. i somehow found your website earlier this week. From a link of a link of a link. Ended up on your website and found some really neat stuff there. I bookmarked it and was going to put a link to you website on my links page some time soon=p.

Thanx guys. im glad at least a few people responded. Didnt think i would get even 5 replies out of this monster thread!. My stuff usually just disapear under the massive load of Chicks with guns threads and spaceship threads =p. Never really felt welcomed here. BUt things change =p. I get a kick out of that A character a day thread. haha. peopel seem to like those .

Joshua hehe . cool thanx man!!. Actually the final would look pretty much like you see in the storyboard panels PRETTY much maybe a tiny bit more controled and cleaned up=p. The final would be like that one painting on the rough model sheet.

Your stuff is very cool.. Keep it up.. Personally I like the idea of someone hand drawing a whole animation, really kicks ass.

As far as I have seen I think all styles fit into this forum (it is about art, all art (with the possible exception of Anime)) so keep posting for ye fit like a glove.

Wow!

Totally refreshing.

This really is some of the most distinctive and original work I've seen on this site for ages.

One of the reasons I keep returning to this site after getting fed-up with all endless derivative games stuff, and all the annoying debates about plagarism, is that I hope to come across people like you.
I can't believe you're 21. Jesus.

By all means, get tips from everyone here, but PLEASE carry on doing your own thing. You have a unique vision and style (not to mention talent).
