I got my new INTUOS 4 it got me painting right away. :)

So I had the UPS man knock on my door and in his hands was a box of pure goodness. I opened it up and while I was expecting a lot, I had no idea how nice the new intuos are. It reminds me of the PS3 in that it is the kind of tech I can have in my home and have it for use but also because it looks that cool! Jeez..

Wacom has done it right. I chose the big 12x19 inch tablet and it is no longer purple and is much higher build quality (THANK YOU WACOM!)...and feels like a more valuable piece of equipt too. The new features are designed flawlessly and it is completely worth saving up for. Best digital art making tool I have added to my collection in ages.

As you can see...I am stoked....even working on a painting..which I have not done in ages. I will show it once its done...gonna be a bit as it is an ambitious one.

Congrats Jason. There's nothing not to love about the XL. You're right about it seeming a bit sturdier too. Not that I had problems with durability with the Intuos 3 but I had a 9x12 then. I was worried about the XL seeming a little flimsy due to it's size but the thing feels like it could deflect bullets. Have you gotten around to programming the express keys? I'm curious to know how do you have them assigned.

yeah i was wondering about that thing. I saving up for ages for an intulos 3 and now that the 4 is out i was like, yes the 3 will probably drop in price but i'm really curious about the 4 and am really considering buying that one. :D

hey jason, i was wondering why the intuos4 XL has a white overlay sheet, and all the other sizes have black ones? do they know if they feel the same besides the different colors?

thanks...me to. lol. It has been almost a year and a half since I painted. Been working on building companies and a next gen conceptart.org online world which, once done, could potentially change the face of the internet :).

Im not sure about the colors but I think it is just a looks thing. It could be magenta and Id be happy. This tablet rocks.
