Hey guys, I'm new here to the forums but I'm not an artist, I'm a writer. So I kind of figured I would reverse engineer a post here and see what happens. I'm currently working on a script for a new graphic novel and I'm hoping that some of you artists out there might be interested in the story and want to contribute. I've got some pretty good ideas of what I would like the book to look like but no means to draw it. What I'm kinda looking for is a really sketchy ink look. Then a painted feel on top of that. Style wise, I really like the cinematography from the Final Fantasy games and the Metal Gear games. It needs to have kind of an industrial feel. There's gonna be a lot of futuristic weapons, vehicles, architecture and military stuff. I think the anime/magna realm fits the story best, but not the really pretty poppy stuff. It needs to be dark and grungy. But anyways, I'm not an artist. So whoever signs on will have plenty of creative freedom. I've got half of the script written so far. However I have no plot outline so I'll scratch together a quick one so you can see the feel of the story and what it is about. (see below). Thanks for reading this guys! And if anyone is interested, email me at sv9cannon@gmail.com

Plot Outline

The year is 2017. The US economy has collapsed and the Euro has been introduced as the new global currency. With Sweden’s money market now being one of the leading world markets, their government has grown greedy and corrupt. Prime Minister Larsson is positioning himself to overthrow the European Union and make Sweden the new world superpower by uniting all of Western Europe under one power. With the help of Vice President Gordon and Senator Samuel Leven, the Prime Minister has obtained the most deadly weapon the world has ever known, NORA. She’s the world’s first A.I. powered mech robot with nuclear launch capabilities. NORA was designed by MPYRE CORP, the leading weapons developer for the US, for which Senator Leven used to be CEO before the economic collapse. But there is a problem, Sweden’s acquisition of the weapon has left a trail of blood and red tape that the Senator is forced to deal with. So Senator Leven, not a murderous man by any means, starts to question the integrity of his colleagues and his role in this political nightmare. And to make things worse, NORA’s A.I. chip is malfunctioning, and the only person who can fix it is the creator himself, Rowan Leven, the Senator’s son.

Rowan Leven graduated from MIT with a degree in computer science and wrote his thesis on the development of an advanced Artificial Intelligence. After graduation his dad offered him a position at MPYRE CORP where he could continue his research with unlimited government funding. When Rowan learned what his technology was being used for, he left the company. He wanted to be no part of the development of a WMD.

Due to the circumstances, Vice President Gordon sends agent Julian Hadley, a beautiful but deadly MPYRE CORP assassin, to seduce Rowan and use him as leverage against his father and force him to repair the A.I. chip. Rowan, none the wiser, falls for Julian and walks right into the trap. But Julian takes a special liking to Rowan too. And when she learns that the death of her parents was arranged by the people she works for, she turns on MPYRE CORP and helps Rowan escape.

Now Julian and Rowan have teamed up to stop the organization that damned them both. They make their way to Stockholm, Sweden to stop the Prime Minister from completing the development of NORA.

Okay, it gets a little sloppy at the end, i know. But that should give you an idea of what the book is about. Thanks again for reading!
