hmm, interesting, beutifully painted, though I think ul provoke a lot of americans with that massage.
EDIT: btw, can u explain what path the piano wire takes, cause now i think it gets lost in hes face, it looks like it going right trough hes head on the left side( our left).

do it before we end up slaves to the bankers!!
Haha nice piece. If that's supposed to be Obama then maybe make his fingers more slender...

I've also just noticed that his right bicep is too short. I would even recommend lowering the desk to give him more arm length, and giving the canvas more length as well which I think would look nice.

Is this supposed to have some political concept or is it just humorous?
The lighting look great but The Comedian looks like he's closer in the foreground than Obama.

i gotta say, it's beautiful, but the 2 characters might as well be in different paintings altogether. There's not sense of connection between the two it's very cold. You might need to continue the body of the Comedian a bit more in the background, that way they look like they're in the same picture together. Also tone down the value in the Comedians forearms, they stand out way to much, i think you want the focal point to be the piano wire, the eyes and Obama's abnormally short arms.
Great stuff though, i cant wait to see more!

that is a fair point, the Comedian as a character was the assassin who killed JFK, who i suppose could be compared to Obama in the sense that both Presidents were/are very popular and adored by the public.
While the painting is possible as being seen as "right wing extremist" , the Comedian can also be seen as a right Wing extremist so it fits.As for the "fawning over every breath the annointed one takes" bit? im Australian so by extention, like to think i'm democratic and actually think Obama is all right but i do think the media treats him a lot like a celebrity.(at least they do here, its almost the same with our Prime Minister too.)
Anyway, didnt mean to rant. I love the painting very nice and provocative.I will get off of my Soapbox now.:carnifex: :bashful:

Obamas fingers look a little fat to me.
The string is a little bad in place, at first I thought he pulls 2 strings out of his nose. ^^
But a nice piece and of course it would be horrible if such a thing happened.

very nice piece^^
but im wondering why the comedian have more light on his body than obama has....if he gets lightened by this lamp too, than there should be less light on comedian ;)
but i like the idea and the dramatic sense it gives^^

Some really great aspects to this piece, just a few lil things that bugging me, T he comedian is receiving light from somewhere else and its making him look a little flat, like there is no depth between him and obama.
Also the piano wire seems to disappear into his face, a small highlight to show where the wire is in front of his face would sort that I think, or a shadow across the face.
But otherwise I really like this piece, bit of controversy is good, people can get so wound tight over this kinda thing ha ha ha

As above stated, I also have to nit pick one thing that's not really important.... But wheres the comedians scar man, from when he got the bear bottle smashed into his face by a pregnant women?

i seriously doubt he's trying to make some big political statement here. if you're familiar with watchmen, the joke is pretty obvious.
as for the painting, you should figure out some where to put them into the same painting. as of right now, they kind of co-exist. it seems like you tried to imply that the desk lamp is illuminating the comedian, but then you cut off the range of light right in the middle of obama's forehead. anyway, pretty good work in general.
