Hey all....
Just a quick sketch with labels to convey how the anatomy of a motor neuron and it's makeup all the way down to a muscle fiber. The pencil work in inset B got a little light so in the final the mitochondria and synaptic vesicles will be more visible.
Audience is first year med students...and it will fit within a one column space (8.8 cm x 22 cm) in a book about Neurosurgery.
It's a quick turn-around project, but thought I'd share a bit more of the medical illustrator's life. Not as joyous as what some of you are doing, but that's the life.
Final output will be b/w line with spot tone in areas of interest.
