What software do you guys use to digitally colour your images?
I've been using "Paint Shop Pro" for a while now but i find that it doesn't give the final product a natural look.

First of all, welcome to the forum.
You've got some pretty nice sketches, here. I do have some C+C for you though:
In the first pic, the forehead is unnaturally large. It also looks like the eyes are too far down, but that might just be due to the forehead's size.
In the last one, the ears are too small and eyes are too far down. Their eyes also seem too big. That, coupled with the nose (which is too small) makes the face look very surreal and doll-like in a creepy way. I don't know if that's what you were going for or not; I'm just saying.
As for what programs, most people here seem use either Painter or Photoshop, or both.
Good work with these. Keep it up, and keep posting!

Sup Rustyred....and thanks for tha crit.
yeh i know what you mean with the 3rd pic.
there's too much distortion and shading errors that somehow makes it look disfigured and as you put it doll-like in a creepy way.
Actually, it wasnt supposed to be posted up in the first place, i entered in the wrong link...lol
Painter...haven't come across that before...but after browsing this forum, i've found that EVERYONE is using it...lol

I disagree with what was said about the forehead in the first pic... the eyes are half way down so it works proportionatly. The 2nd one is by far the strongest, and the third one just bugs the shit out of me. The 4th is nice but your hands are lacking. They vary in size and look like paws. Really work on those.

hahahah
yeah the third one does suck
but ill leave it there for annoyances sake :)
Well, i know that my 'hands' aren't up to scratch which is why i choose not to draw them realistically, but more towards the marvel comics' sharp fingertip style.
Well, in this next sketch, i left them hands out altogther hahaha.

I'm gonna play off your statement of not wanting to draw them realistically, but more like Marvel... heh heh. Learn to do it right first! You'll never be able to stylize anything properly, if you don't first learn what it is you're stylizing. You've got a good start on these drawings, but you should really brush up on your anatomy. And right now, the pictures are looking like a confused mix between Marvel and anime... It's fine to mix styles, but it's not quite working yet, and personally, I'd say loose the anime side. Like I said, though, it's a good start, you just need to polish up some things. Keep at it! Peace

sup -pete....
nice clean stuph- your at a jumping off point with your work it seems...
you can continue and develop from here with minimal refrences ( but don't be fooled )or you can toss the comics aside for a bit and get down and dirty and work on refrences on hands faces eyes ect.....
welp my only comment is leaving hands out or not drawing them at all is not what you should be working for.... hands portray alot of emotion especially in comics -
i do agree with the comment of learn first then ya can exzagerate - ect...
- im working on shading myself at the moment...
but these show alot of potential...
