well, most people confuse art styles with brush perference, i use many of the basic brushes and a few custom ones. I use the same stuff andrew does but my work will never similar to his.
i enjoy oil pastel: chunky and the felt pen:fine tip

I think that some of his brushes and papers are also available on the cd that comes with his book. Its a great book, very inspirational and shows off some of his tips and tricks. He does awesome work, I had the privilege to learn Painter directly from Seegmiller himself. That was the best and most instructive college class I ever took. He works so fast, he pulls off those digital sketches on his website in literally minutes...he has a brush for everything. How do you send something like a brush?

Hey Davi, I have the book (w/the CD) and I think the brush you are looking for is on there. Did you want me to e-mail it to you?
Also, for anyone interested in this book, it's amazing. I highly recommend it. He covers all the basics of character creation as well as some basics about color theory and painting in general. He also has some Quicktime movies of some of his projects so you can see how he approaches his subjects. Very, very helpful. It would make a great prize in the Thunderdome I think.

yeah, seegmiller's book is great... really helped me out when I first started learning in painter. Does anyone know of any other good painter learning books? I've looked around but haven't been able to stumble upon any.

Brush installation is a simple matter of folder placement. If you want a brush set in an existing library, like your default one, just place it and it's icon to the "Painter brushes" folder. If you want to create your own library from your own custom brush sets, you can name your own folder and in the preferences, you can tell the program to choose that folder as the default library. If you don't care, you can just select it from you brush pallette submenu.
Of course, I'm assuming Painter 8 works the same as 7 and that the opperation on windows is similar to a Mac...Okay. I'm an idiot.

thanks for uploading that Rash Overdrive.
To install the brushes into painter8
go to: ?\Painter8\Brushes\
Create folder: Don
go to: ?\Painter8\Brushes\Don
Create folder: Don
go to: ?\Painter8\Brushes\Don\Don\
Drag all files from folder into there.
go back to: ?\Painter8\Brushes\Don
and drag don.jpg
now in painter8 you just go to the change library place and it will show up.
