cool. i love scII. i think i read your WIP thread. yu got the gamecube version, right? nice to see a fellow nintendo fan...or atleast a gamecube fan!! :D

am i right in thinking this is your first try at a 'realistic' painting (as in, not 'cel-shaded')? i think i recall you syaing that.
well, its nice. the sword is pretty cool. but i think you have your shadows mixed up. if light is coming off the sword, then most f it seemd fine except the arm. the shadow is upside down!! i think. looks like it to me, but i'm still a beginer, so dont quote me on it!! the actuall drawing is nice, but i think you want us to comment on the colour?

the 'rays' definatley need alot of work, they look too rushed and random. and its too hard, try using a like a glow tool or someting.

good work, wait untill other people comment before changing it. people in the know! as i might be completley wrong :D

Good call on the rays. I did rush them a little. I tried to find a glow tool to make them glow, but I couldn't find one. I used the dodge tool to hopefully give it a lightning-like saturation of colour. Maybe I'll grab the blur tool in photoshop and make it more organic-looking.

Always been a Nintendo fan. Just can't argue with quality. :p

I was really trying to move away from animation in this one. Basically putting more values, more painterly aspects into the img.
