Alright I have new stuff. Finally surpassed my old CGing techniques. I'm sure I still have a few anatomy issues. But that'll get worked out with more practice. Following some advice I got about Burne Hogggarth's Dynamic Anatomy and Dynamic Figure Drawing. Also I've been practicing from the Drawing FRom Life book by Goerge B. Bridgeman. Went back to my Loomis books to try to bone up on my background and perspective grids for my manga Eternal. Here's a page from Eternal:

Eternal can be read here on Drunk Duck:

I started trying to use more dynamic camera anglles and action poses in Session 5, so if you want to see my dynamic figure drawings look in Session 5.
And here are a few of my most recent CG's:

This is the sketch I painted on to get the above CG finished:

I detailed everything with my pencil then blended the pencils details and shading in Painter X. Then I added a colored overlay on top and added highlights on that overlay layer. In the Surviving CG above with the monster reaching out to the cyborg guy, I messed around with Warm and cool lighting.
There's another CG I did with two boxers that also did warm and cool lighting, but the muscle anatomy was off alittle on them, and I was told by one of my mentors that the foreshortening was alittle off. I'll put that one up when Imageshack stops screwing with me. This is one of my older CG's, so you can get a clue into how far I've come so far in the past few months:

I used to make lineart before I colored my stuff. But now I just detail the sketches with my pencils and work with it directly that way. I have more control with shading and all that too with my pencil. Well, that's all for now. Sorry I had to create another thread. I think this is my third time in a year making a new thread becuase I couldn't find my older ones. I rarely come here. I'm actually in recovery right now after some surgery, so I'm taking this time to study up alittle bit while my incisions heal up. I've already sketched a new CG and can't wait to get at it. Thanks for checking out my stuff everyone. Peace! :D-GIO

This is the one I was talking about. I'll upload it directly onto here. Apparently there's rules about that. I didn't read about it till just now. Anywho, here it goes:

There were no photoshopping tricks applied as far as the audience is concerned. I spent an entire day drawing each individual person and even longer than that detailing them in Painter X. Each of them has a different tshirt pattern and other variations to them. I did the anatomy of the fighters from my head, which may have been a mistake. I think there's supposed to be muscles extending from the lower part of the ribcage to the spinal column on the fighter in the foreground. I've been told there's anatomy errors, but noone really specified where. I went through hell creatiing this, but I welcome any critique on anatomy and foreshortening errors, and I'll keep it in mind for the next CG I do.

Applying what I learned from Burne Hoggarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing in these sketches. I have tons of other sketches I've done trying to come up with all kinds of stylized action poses for the fight scene that happens in Eternal. When I'm near a scanner I"ll put those up as well as a few anatomy sketches I did from Drawing From Life and medical Youtube videos I watched on Anatomy. ( I'm a real visual learner, reading sort of bores me, so alot of visual aid helps me more than words paper.) More to come.
