Any plans to still have this one?
Maybe if you're still just part way through you could release it in 2 parts
and give us what you have so far ?
Please and thank you.

This one's dead in the water, guys. Carl got busy a deadline for an art show and the school needed the space where we were filming so it got shelved. It would be impossible to re-create the exact lighting conditions so important for cast drawings. I have 7 hours of footage, some of which was already edited, but I'm not really sure how to go about selling half of a cast drawing demo.

Knowing there would be no end etc. I'd still fork over some $ for what you do have.

Put it out for a couple bucks or something. You make a little money to pay for filming/etc. and the rest of us get a cheap little pleasure. Don't know the feasibility of actually doing that, but it's a thought.

bundle it with some of the vids from the workshops? I would love to have Lanning's keynotes.

Hyskoa and Kaffinated has some great suggestions there.

dont under estimate the value of what you guys are doing. I down load stuff and never really 'copy' the tutorial. Right now i am doing a commission for a comic shop and i have used tech niques from three downloads. I needed to do quick background buildings and used the idea from coro's vids without getting into all the lighting and rendering. My point...? as artist we abandon projects all the time however even in an uncomplete project MANY lessons are learned. I say make a 'junk drawer' down load fill it with incomplete stuff maybe some brushes? maybe some patterns from andrew? some art that didnt make the book?

I have been looking forward to more from this series for a while so it's a bummer to hear that it's not going to happen.
Why not start over in a new studio.
Just like everything else in life that doesn't work out as planned.
I'm sure the content that is already finished is great and has value, but I for one am not interested in an incomplete video.

Have more bloopers with the Benny Hill Carl spinning in his chair before going into the demo ;) Or ...you could pull a Tarintino and make it look like it's going to get to a sex scene and put in a "Scene Deleted" in parts where it didn't finish.
But yeah, as the others have said would still like to see what was recorded.

A couple of points:
1) DIY. Get the Charles Bsrgue Drawing Course book by Ackermen and learn the old fashioned way. . . why do you need a video?
2) If there is enough interest, and as I have been thinking about doing this for some time, I will tape the darn thing and post it for free. However, my cast-drawing skills are rusty and it could take considerable time to get something of quality together;
3) Third possibility: if you or someone you know has training in the technique, get out a cast, a box, a light and your DV cam and tape it.
There, that wasn't so painful, now was it?

You're right, why even bother with CA videos in the first place.
