[WIP] forest fantasy

heya.
i'm currently working on this sketch. i'm hoping to get it finished before the expose2 deadline january 29th (and now, before january 15th because of ballistic publishing's "d'artiste" book.)

Your composition is good, start bringing out the details. I'd double check the perspective of the guy though.

i updated the image with a quick color test. maybe this'll turn out alrightish after all.

I think it would look awesome if you played a lot with the lights peeking through the trees. Keep it up!

right. started colouring it. the big version is 3400x2400 or something, so i guess it's a bit hard getting the details on this one. (also, i changed that weird dog thingie to something more along the lines of a wolf. thank god! :)

voron: yep, i'm planning on doing something nice with lights streaking down. i won't get around to doing that until i've finished colouring most of the other stuff though.


edit: i've updated this image some more. started work on a bit of the background as well as adding some ivy on that mushroom thingie. i've got good vibes about this - and if nothing else comes of it, at least i'm learning a few new things about photoshop :)

Just wach out not to overwork one area of the picture and leave the rest behind! you should wait to add details til the end!
