Hello my name is Pizzacat, Ill be posting future WIPS of sketches, modeling and digital works here. Please fell free to critique and comment as I truly want to learn and develop new skills.
Here Ive posted my first true attempt at digital painting, really had no idea of what I was doing at all and was just stumbling my way through it. I hope to someday achieve a more straightforward approach to such works, and also render in a lot more detail and realism.
The other was a illustrative drawing of my original character that was more for fun.

Pizzacats? That show ruled!
Nice drawings so far - just watch the sizes!
The digital painting could use more contrast, and defined light and shadow - think of where the light source is.

Your first digital pieces are good for the first time, and as saided before more definition of a light source and contrast. Also try shading with the eyedropper using the alt button at 100% opacity with a hard edge brush to get crisp and refined edges. Plus the sharpen filter, of course under the filter menu. Anyways keep posting you have a very nice style and sense of design.

Kudos to both of you for the advice, Ill try working on light direction and contrast, me thinks I should do a bit of colour contrast and theory practice before hand. Also Ill try a harder edged brush in future, but just in case if I wanted to blend the shaded edges together for a more soft and smooth look how would I best go about doing that?
Also yes I love that show unconditionally :3
Also Ill watch out for the sizes and keep them down to something manageable. Expect a few sketches and colour and contrast practice soon.
Final question, I know Painter can naturally blend colours from underlying layers, can Photoshop do that or is the alt+color picker always required?
