for most of their work??? I just got a HP ZT3010US and it has the same stuff as my desktop HP Pavilion. The only catch is that the screen is 15.4 and this is a notebook computer. It has 512 of RAM and a Centrino chip. It is really fast. I know that this might be a little unorthodox but I would like to know if anyone else uses a notebook also for their work. Thanks.

Well with no replies I guess I am the only one on here that has one and uses it for that purpose.

When I work at home I use a 1GHz G4 17" Mac powerbook with a gig of ram and a 6X8 Wacom. Works great. super fast. But I prefer my studio set up. 21" cinema display with a 12X18 Wacom. I just like the extra drawing area.

Peace

I'm with Dan, also 17" PB with 9x12 Wacom tablet...but the 1440 x 900 native rez, while big for a laptop just feels confining.

Luckily, all Powerbooks have pretty beefy 2nd-monitor support out of the box, so my ol' 8600 monitor doubles very nicely as a Palette Holder; at least then I can paint using the maximum screen real estate possible.

I've even been able to sketch outdoors digitally in this way...now if only the LCD was easy to see on a sunny day...and if it was rainproof...

Best,
