I bought the upgrade to Painter8 yesterday so I have been playing around with it. I am trying to get some practice so that I can paint one of my TD7 pics with it.
A painting of model Aria Giovanni. Used nothing but the default Loaded Palette Knife. Just changed the radius. Took me about 3-4hours.

Nice work but you need to make more of a silver shine between the top of eye lid and the eye brow

Thanks. I was talking o friend on ICQ. He instantly said the highlights (hair as well). The hair i forgot to add in another pass of highlights. As for the eye linner... yeah i just got careless :p
Other things that we noticed.
. Cheek needs darker shadows under the bone.
. Her chin needs to be a little more rounded and pinch in more towards her bottom lip.
Thank you both though. Any other crits will help me out as well.

more saturation in the red, there's missing color in the cheeks, the hair connecting to the side of the head is a bit purple/cool grey. You seem to be working very shy with the using bold flesh tones; on her collar area it is very easy to see the color different in the photo yet you skipped over it in the painting.
also her chin 'droops' alittle giving her more fattness than she has.
good luck with painter8!

Thank you for the comments Davi.
You are most definitely right about her chin/jaw line. I will be careful of that in the future.
I know what I did wrong with the colour tinits on her face. I just sampled the colours straight from the photo and started to paint. My problem is that I paint very lightly, so the colours aren't as strong as they should be. I will make sure that I adjust the colours properly before using them (especially highlights/shadows).
Her collar being too desaturated came from pure accident. I never actually intended to paint any of her clothes. I just needed something to add in the shape of her nose. I just used the darker reds from her lip stick without even thinking of it again.
Although I have only been using Painter for a week now, I really do like it and will keep on trying to better myself. I will hopefully have another piece up tomorrow or friday.
