Portrait (of my friend)

Hey guys. I really love the look of pencils and ink or pencils with a bit of black and whites.. This is a portrait of my friend using pencils with a few minutes of photoshop over it just to bring out some of the features. I know its not halfway as good as most drawings but on here but hope you like it. I really like the quick cartoony sketch. I would really like to take this to a characture level at some stage and make those sunnies HUGE.

Might be better to signify the dimples, the edges of the lips and the shape of the nose with shading rather than drawn lines if you are going for a realistic portrait. Also remember that hair is not seethrough.

good point mate. I was trying to go for a more comic sort of look. I think I went about it totally wrong in retrospect. I am trying to invent/ find my own style I guess. Trying new things I might try to use something like the pen tool next time.
