Righto so usual schpeel...been lurking here for a long time registered a year ago but never was a brave enough toaster to post up any of my work.
Mini bio: I'm 22 and enrolled as a freshman again in January as an illustration major through AAU online. I previously did 3 years at RIT following a degree my parents wanted for me. I'm doing my learning online because I own a house, have a daughter and a job and I really am not able to relocate myself to attend school or attempt to support my family on student loans.

Hi! I admire your decision to study what you really want to study!
Online courses are good too! I think it just depends on the student's dedication and perseverance! Plus, you have CA to visit and learn a ton of stuff from as well!
Too early to crit anything as what you have posted aren't recent stuff right?
Just keep drawing, posting and I wish you all the best on your artistic journey!

They're not super recent (summer/fall of last year) but it's where I was. In some ways I feel like I've gotten better but sometimes I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels.
My figurative work has gotten better but still needs a lot of work, but that's why I'm a student not a pro. Attachments in chronological order first week -> this past week. Everything is on 18x24 newsprint or marker paper. The online format definitely leaves something to be desired working only off of VR models or photos. I signed up this summer for a figure drawing mini-lecture/sketch-group at a art store in the city, which I'm hoping will help.

Tooling around with different subjects/media last night. Quick hand study in pastel, koi in colored pencil, can in ball-point and a WIP cast study in charcoal (cross posted in the Fine Art section for crits).

Awesome charcoal drawings Lassabella. I find it very difficult to work with charcoal. Love how it looks though. Well done and nice sketchbook.
