Hey, I'm working on a mod for UT3. I've been musing about it for almost a year, and have even begun the learning process of making mods for UT3. It isn't the first time I've worked on mods before, although I haven't jumped into the deep water yet.

Brief info on me. A 19 year old boy who likes to create stuff. Currently going to collage for computer science, although at this point I do not feel motivated enough to give much effort to that, maybe Computer Science isn't quite what I'm looking for, even though I do enjoy programming (maybe I just don't like being taught, I'm more of a self teacher kind of guy). I play online games and play in the TWL league for CoD4 with my clan. I make music, some drawings now and then, and I am also working on a book (currently in it's early stages). But enough about me, now the project.

For the past months, I've been working on just planning the mod, such as gameplay, equipment, weapons, and vehicles. I've been typing up text documents that describe general equipment, such as weapons, rate of fire, ammunition type, vehicles, and a descriptions of each. I want the concept ideas to be perfect before I go deep into the mod, because what I'm trying to achieve is an ideal competitive multiplayer FPS. Ambitious I know, but I have patience :).

Anyways, I'm looking for artists. Maybe 2-3, more or less, depends on how many artists are interested. Right now the focus is weapons, vehicles, and character concepts. It's just casual work, so I'm looking for hobbiests who like doing what they do. No money involved. The project is in it's early concept stage. Might be a few months, maybe even a year before I can get a beta published because it's a lot of hard work. Maybe I'll publish a few mutators along the way.

As for the project, it's based in the future with a lot of visual themes based off Masamunes Shirow's ideas. His work is behind Appleseed, Vexille, Ghost in the Shell, stuff like that. I'm not trying to steal his ideas, the project is meant to be original, but you know that general saying, good artists know how to hide their sources. Generally I'm looking for a stylish, cool feel but not too exaggerated. Plausible Hollywood so to speak. For artists who are interested and decide to join this lone souls ambitious plans, I will send you a folder with various google'd images and screen shots that will give you a general idea of what I'm looking for. But I'm not going to impede your creativity a lot, I want you to have fun, being a hobbiest project and what not. For example, if I wanted you to do me a picture of a gun, I will send you a text file giving its specs, such as rate of fire, ammunition, general size, and type of weapon (i.e. pistol, revolver, assault rifle , etc) as well as a description which will aim to inspire you. Then based off the general theme I have in mind, bring this weapon into a visual representation.

So if you are interested in contributing, (all credit will be earned along with any links you want to advertise yourself with (reminder, it may be a few months to a year before I can publish a solid beta)), post here or PM me, and preferably with a link to some of your work, just so I can get an idea of what to expect, not that I'm going to be a critic. I think I said all that I can say so I hope to see some applicants :). I will then PM you my Xfire and MSN so we can chat.

One more note, I want to create a tight group rather then trying to stuff a bunch of artists in  I really can't predict how many applicants I will get, if any at all. I'm just shooting in the dark here, so if for whatever reason I don't accept you, don't take it personal :sungod:

Oh and yet another thing. I like doing some art myself. Here's a link of what I got so far.

As you can see, I am an amateur, so my expectations are not high.
