Got some suggestions for you, just to finish of the pic.

Make the skin hue a bit less purple, remain the contrast, but try and lessen it a bit. grey it perhaps?

The leather cloth is looking real good, but that as well as the red cloth should have some more highlights from the lamp.

Major suggestion, Make the lamp fire up a tad more, the central glow should be allot brighter. now its all just a big mundane yellow. glow it baby!!!

The design is cool though and the lower legs/boots look awesome. Keep fighting with it man.

thnx for the comments theo. After looking at it i think i might grey the whole picture out a little as well as double grey the skin tone. I don't know if i have the stamana to fix the light but maybe if i get started on the color correction I can get ack into the feel of it.
