How many of you use both sides of the page in yout sketchbooks? It's really hard for me to leave the backside of the pages blank. I feel like a page is being wasted. I like to glue magazine clippings or random doodles on those blank pages. I do this because the ink i use will just bleed thru and screw up the sketch's on the front of the page. Besides that, I enjoy wrapping a rubberband around the book just to keep it closed. There's nothing better than a fat book, buldging with idea's.

I try to do pen-sketches on one side, pencils on the other. To sorta prevent smudging.

I like to throw tons of ink/watercolor/acrylic/gouache on my sketchbook pages so its hard to use both sides with all of that shit bleeding through but sometimes ill do little thumbnails on the pages that got messed up otherwise i do pencil on one ink on another.

Generally I like to use both sides of the page in my sketchbooks. Unless, of course, I've done a piece of which I'm particularily proud. Then I leave the backside blank. For posterity, you know.

Wouldn't a blank backside be for posterior?

It depends on the media. If I am using some sort of paint or other wet media that dries hard, then I use both sides. If I am using some smudgeable media and spend more than a few minutes on the sheet, then I do not use the touching face. If the sketchbook is for a class and I run out of first choice pages, then I will go back through and use blank sides on the least smudged ones unless I think I can use up a good portion of a second sketchbook.

Depend on job, medium and paper quality,
If this is about quick sketch, practice or scribble, I use both sides...If I want large and Final-quality drawings, Usually don't use another side...

I usually don't use both sides... coz I hate that graphite-transfer thing that happens.

Depends. I make a lot of sketches on 80g paper which is a little too thin to work on the other side. The pensil creates dents on the oposite side.
I will switch to thicker paper when I finish this block. Then I will probably use both sides. Depends a bit on smudging.
