Loss energy, loss coordination, numbness, blood pressure fall down, headache on right-side of the brain, pain in right-hand, blur vision, neck pain, decrease blood-pressure inside brain, dizziness, seizure, bad mood from depression to anger!
....After 2~3 hours of drawing!

I keep drawing up-to 5 hours, It's like get seizure from FPS (first-person shooter) game and keep playing with lots of pain!!

I compare this to 6 hours of wild snowboarding!
I don't have such bad feeling after 8 hours of digital painting!

Do you feel same?
Is this about wrong sitting position or bad light source or something like that?

Note: I have very mild photosensitive-seizure from childhood...

Do you drink a lot of water? Do you enjoy what you do? Sounds like you need to relax in your work.

Do you drink a lot of water?

Why?! ... around 3~4 glass per day...

Do you enjoy what you do?

Yes...I really enjoy drawing...

Sounds like you need to relax in your work.

I can't relax while drawing ... you mean relax and let it flow?

If you're having even minor health problems, why are you posting about it on the Internet?

Maybe you are suffering from hypoglycemia. That sounds like what would happen if your blood sugar crashes.

sounds like a moderate case of hyperpussiemo. ive seen this sort of thing on the internets before. my remedy is a mixture of traditional practices alongside some new techniques that have arisen in the past decade in the field of badassery.

every twenty minutes take a break and stare at something twenty feet away and zone out. take your time while doing it, problems with your eyes can lead to fatigue in your noggin. once an advanced tiresome state consumes your brain the rest of your body will follow suit. these are all very technical terms that i suggest you read up on. i suggest staring at long-range pornography. ask your local pornography dealer if you do not readily have long-range pornography in your area.

forget water. what you should be reaching for is Stacker 6 Hour Power, and slam them sumbitches every fifteen minutes alongside a steady supply of mountain dew and cool ranch doritos. you are going to want to not open any windows and not get any sunlight or fresh air going through your studio. a change in air quality will cause your lungs to wuss out, it also is an open invitation for girls to enter your room if it smells pleasant, and you don't want that distraction.

if your head begins to hurt try driving the pain out of your head by turning up your music. when your muscles feel slack and depleted try doing heavy abrupt lifting to jolt them into shape quickly. make sharp acute jerking motions of things you normally wouldnt attempt to lift. now that your body is energized, lets talk about your drop in blood pressure. i suggest a regular intake of double bacon cheeseburgers, pervasive smoking, and kool-aid.

this should lead to an increase in awesomeness within 10 weeks but side affects may include death.

contact me if the death thing happens,
~ dr. grief

LOL, personally I'd be more concerned about attracting stinging insects with that combo rather than women.

Haha Grief! :D

But as for this condition, I'd definitely start by drinking loads more of water. I always have a handy bottle with me wherever. My athlete aunt told me you should never let your body reach the state of thirst, that's a sign that you're not 'watering' it enough. Taking a regular sip now and then would prevent that!

Also, you might be one of those (like me) who need to get some nutrition one a pretty frequent basis, like 2-3 hours most. Just a little like a fruit will often suffice. Otherwise I get really cranky, get stomach-aches and what have you. Know your body and take care of it!

But definitely take a visit to the doctor, this doesn't sound right. Best of luck, man!

Fruits/vegies/proteins (food pyramid is our friend!) are good for you, water is good for you, sleep is good for you, and good posture is good for you. Get good at utilizing all of them at the right points in your daily routine and even drawing can get easier.

So yes, nutrition can help with your general energy level and blood pressure issues, water to keep hydrated is very important. Make sure you're sleeping well at night as this too can drag down your system.

As far as working conditions, well lit areas will probably keep you from slouching as much to see the paper if you're doing that - which hurts your neck and back and what not. Posture is good, even if most of us do suck at it.

If you're having any health conditions here that worry you to the point of going to an online forum and asking about it - I'd recommend going to somebody credible instead, like a doctor. We draw and paint well..... we don't do doctory things that well. Except for Grief. He knows his stuff.

Sorry, I don't want to waste CA resources because it's free, and I know CA is not clinic! ... I make this thread, Because I have pain only when drawing, I just thought this is common and experienced artists/teachers (like elwell!) can help much better due to past experiences.

Anyway, I visit my doctor this morning, problem is "Thyroid Gland Hyperactivity", which cause to hormonal imbalance and result is losing physical/mental energy to soon...thyroid hyperactivity also decrease testosterone production quality and imbalance Blood-pressure...

She recommend me to drink at least 8 glass of water per day, take vitamin D/E and thyroid inhibitor pills, sleep enough and do some daily physical exercises...

She also said "next time you most draw my portrait!" and I say "just portrait! what about nude body!??"...she said "ooooh!!"

Shit!...I'm going to waste lots of money to restore my health...
Thanks to Dr. Grief and other guys...

Ah it was mostly just me giving out a generalized statement about posting life issues on the Internet even if it could be useful anyway. :(
Sorry about that, I should shut up whenever I don't really have something to say.

Those symptoms sound pretty bad. Did it happen once or does it happen regularly? If the first, I hope the water works for, but if this keeps happening, for gods sake, see a doctor.

I'm interested to hear how you know your blood pressure has decreased in your brain, or indeed anywhere else (short of using a blood pressure monitor).

Thanks Zaxser, I visit my doctor last day...you can see result in post #13.

I'm interested to hear how you know your blood pressure has decreased in your brain, or indeed anywhere else (short of using a blood pressure monitor).

Because when I move my head or rotating around or stand-up on my feet, I'm going to loss coordination, get dizzy, loud-noise in my head, and my eyes see nothing but black-screen for 2~3 seconds...After long-time of Drawing...

There is all symptoms of low blood-pressure inside brain...If you smoke good pot, you know what I mean :)

Anyway...Thanks guys...

So the problem is that you are drawing and painting instead of getting laid and drinking. Strange disease.
