Hi, this is my first time post here.
I've been browsing it for quite some time now and saw many interesting things so I thought it was about time to gather some courage and make a post :)

Also I saw Snowball's topic were he requested someone to color one of his drawings and was wondering if anyone would like to give mine a shot.
I'm just new at computer coloring and I wonder what my works would look like with some proffesional coloring.

Well anyway.. tips & trix would be nice :p

Here are some examples of my coloring, and you'll see whatI mean by me not beeing happy with it.
I'm a huge fan of american comics like spawn & darkness and love that coloring style.. but can't seem to do it myself :(

i honestly think these are fantastic! i rather prefer the second and first one, and i like the balck and white ones better than the coloured ones, but all of them are awesome.

The bunny is the strongest coloring job... hands down.

You've definately got the whole how-to-draw-really-awesomely thing down, the coloring is a little bland but already the color job on the second pic is really good.

well some of your peices are VERY interesting conceptually, some are showing nice skills in sketching (alien!) and detail but some other look more sketchy and unpolished. Don't get me wrong, your work is great. It's just that some of what you posted looks like something you did a few years ago when you have much stronger pieces in the same thread.
Hope this helped ?..

I do see what egerie is talking about when he says "inconsistence", however test things out until you find your true style. If you want to truly do colours like spawn, try and go darker and maybe messier? Anyways awesome work and good luck in future endeavors!

i do see some discrepinces with the style issue brought up eairlier...

how ever seems to me your exploring and some of these drawings just look like thats what you wanted to do-=) if i were you id try to meld the technicall drawing of the beetle and that detailed style of the last illustration of the warrior..

you'd be killer..

(THIS WAS A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO DEMON, SORRY GUYS :) )

I'll agree with what most of my lowland neighbours say, your first two are definately your best but, don't put yourself down about your colouring it will get better. Your drawing skills will probably always outstrip mine but I don't worry about it.

Believe me, I'm no expert at coloring, but one thing many people do when they are unfamiliar with it is to just put down a flat layer of whatever color they think should go in a particular plane, and then shade it in.

However you might notice how in life, any given part of a figure is made up of colors which we don't expect to find there, blue tones under the eyes in the face for instance, places that are paler than others, areas of high/low saturation. I apologize if I'm telling you what you already know.
