Hello
My goal is to have a psuedo art show in my apartment whenever the mood strikes or whenever I host.
I want to run a slide show of paintings and sculptures, not pictures or images, just paintings and sculptures. Flickr is a wonderful program for running a slide show comprised of images and setting up a psuedo photo exhibit, that I know.
I'm looking for a program that, like Flickr, allows you to run a silent slide show of paintings and sculptures, without audio and without commentary, just like Flickr. I want to run the program on my computer and then run it over to my 47" HDTV.
Ideally, like Flickr, this program would show thousands and thousands of paintings and sculptures that are shown in a size that would fill up the entire monitor, without margins. And, just like Flickr, I would hope that it's freeware, although I know beggars and desperados can't be choosy :)
Anyone know a program they can recommend that matches what I have in mind???

It does? Are you talking about the slide show functionality in My Pictures?
Gosh I hope not please say it ain't so but if it is break it to me gently cause I don't have any options at this point, thanks EightArms :(

The easiest would be to set up your screen saver to be a slideshow, that option comes with Windows and you choose the folder you want to show and the time of exposure.

You could also do it with powerpoint, don't use any music, edit the slides so that they don't show margins.
If you want it to play while you (and other people) are doing other things, setting it up so that it moves to a new slide/ image after an arbitrary amount of time. Say, 10 seconds.

Right, okay, I get that.
But what I need are recommendations to a website thats sole purpose is to show the creative works of all the great artists, the famous artists, and the not so famous artists so I can save their works to Windows XP My Pictures. Once I'm able to save a few hundred works of art to My Pictures, I will then be able to run a slide show on my HDTV and thus have my own little virtual art exhibit in my apartment.
Let me show you what I mean: the link I posted below is an example of a website that anyone can use to download great art to Windows My Pictures. This website - cgfa.acropolisinc.com - has a lot of great art. But oddly enough, while it shows the work of someone like Picasso it does not show any of Van Gogh's work. Why that is, I don't know.
But anyway... I need more websites like this to bookmark to my favorites. Surely some of you out there have a website like the one below that you're either fond of or aware of. If so, please post its web address, that would really help. If you don't have the URL handy, simply state the name of the website you have in mind and I'll google it. Thank you.

I don't care what you think Kilowatt.
What I do care about is the recommendations, preferences and favorites of others.
The quality of your information sucks. Thanks for nothing and next time don't bother with this thread. And feel free to ditch the unoriginal "Google is your friend" platitude.
I shared one virtual art gallery (cgfa.acropolisinc.com) with the forum. That might've helped someone, and that's good, because sharing quality information is the back bone of any discussion forum. I'm still curious as to what others out there call their favorite virtual art exhibit.
