there's something about the barbarian on the bottom left hand corner that bothers me. i think the anatomy on the arm is kind of funky, but it just could be the way you lit it.
i also think the torso is too static for the arm. i think there should more angle to the torso and helmet. that might give it more life and help the arm and body match. as of now they look completely seperate.
other than that it looks awesome. i don't think you need to color it at all. the composition is great. the guy on the hill with the horn is great. you really get a feeling of a giant conquest.
great stuff.

FOUND IT!!! Took me a while to find the Dragon too lol. No wonder the little men ontop of it missed it.

Cool. Were you inspired by Justin Sweet's B&W drawings?

finally a new piece from you!(well almost) how i've been waiting sometimes:)
there's something that really disturbs me though:the dog(wolf?)
i think he(it?) needs more darkness.also the group going towards the dragon bothers me somehow.they seem false out of perspective, except they're giants.i think this also comes from the bigness of the dragon,he seems to close to the warriors.the wizar(or whatever he is) somehow also isn't that good in this position.
i'm sorry to say,but the original piece is far better compositionwise.
edit: oh yeah,no need to colour it.the coldness fits better without colours.

this is pretty cool but i dont think it reads well for an enviroment, the background and forgorund mesh together because they are white, so you might want to push this more to make it more clear on whats goin on.

Hi all,
Thanks for your responses. let me answer individually.
form_n_focus: thank you. I didn't mean to make the dragon hard to find, but I kinda find that funny, so I'll leave it that way.
Rusty Red Robot: thank you. This is meant to be a black and white piece and I won't color it, but feel free to give it a try, I won't mind. Though apparently, the piece needs some reworking, so I'd wait if I were you :)
empty: You know, it's funny you should mention that because it also bothered me. I posted it here to get feedback because I couldn't figure out why. At least now I know I'm not the only one thinking that. I shall rework the guy(s).
Shadowkiller: I think that you and gasmask have a point about de-flattening the landscape. I have to figure out if I want to do that to the clouds, the landscape or both. Thanks for pointing this out.
NOOSE: thank you Noose
Al Ian: ah! you're the 2nd one who said that. Again, I kinda like it less than obvious. Although, I must admit, I never intended to make it hidden, but heh...thank you.
mtw: Thank you. Same question I would have asked :) the short answer is yes. The longer answer is: the influenced is based on many artists and inkers I've "studied", from comic books to fine artists. My biggest influences over time, I think, are probably Frank Frazetta, Bernie Wrightson and recently Justin Sweet. I tend to like the first two for their clean lines and the latter for just the opposite. I don't know where I stand, but I'm trying to absorb a bit of both style to create my own. Make sense?
eknight: thanks, eknight. I think I will add a bit more contrast in a new version.
Carnifex: hey you:) thanks for responding. I'll try to play with your suggestions in an upcoming revision. I agree now that you point it out that there are perspective issue regarding the characters in the middle. If they're giants, I guess it works out :) I'll try to scale them to see what I can do.
-The Swift-: Mr Swift, thank you very much.
gasmask: I think I agree on the contrast and I will rework that, thank you. At least, I will try to see if changing that improves it.
