your painting skills are really good, the colors are wonderful, but one thing I noticed right away is that your anaotmy is off, the shoulder-neck placement is weird, and something is wrong about her upper leg, the lower leg is having to much impact on the upper so it seems like they're really squeezed together....it's such a great painting, it's a pitty that some parts of her body are off
but as I said in general this is a very beautiful piece of art and it has great depth and atmosphere, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful work. I wish more artists would post near-photo-real snake pictures here. I can see that some of the body scales don't line up quite right, which is one of the annoying things about doing reptiles...having to re-work the scales to make the skin seem to fit the body naturally. Even so, that's not very noticeable in this painting. The reference for this was obviously a colubrid, but I can't place the species. It looks a little bit like a rough green snake or garter snake, or even a rat snake.

The dragon head in the background is a little detail that I only stumbled upon after staring at the picture for a while. Maybe that's what the snake is guarding her from?

The painting isn't perfect, but if I were doing it I might not have had the patience to even take it this far.

Great work! I'd love to see more reptiles from you in the future.

Great work! It's a captivating painting. With the exception of the slight anatomy issues that one notices after enjoying the beauty of the picture there isn't anything that makes it look bad. I love it.

The snake's head is beautifilly done. The fairy's head is a bit off-putting. It doesn't seem credibly joined to her body, and the face has strange, pinched features, which don't correspond particularly well. Ether the eyes are too low in relation to the eyebrows and nose, or the nose is too short and the mouth too high up. Either way I dob't find it very pleasing to look at, which is a shame as, being the focal point, it tends to spoil the whole piece. She also doesn't seem to be reacting in any way to the viper, and isn't even looking at it. (It's also unclear what she's holding. It looks like a green mouse's tail.) I like the dragon-like beastie, incidentally, but don't quite see how it belongs in this particular scene.

im assuming she is holding on to the snake tail. the face is what it is not all faces are proportioned perfectly, i know some pretty crazy looking people, i would say shes cute at least. i do think there is an issue with the head positioning i think shes missing a bit of neck. overall very beautiful piece!
